In 2016 less than a year after graduating I received an opportunity to showcase a very special neighborhood through a grant and residency program called Neighborhood Lights, which is a part of Light City's annual light festival in Baltimore, MD. The neighborhood that I was chosen to work with is in the heart of Baltimore's East side, Coldstream Homestead Montebello. The festival was called "Back In Our Minds" and featured:
Joy Postell
Blaqstarr
Speak Life Tour: Faame Emanuel, Star, Torrey, and Epiphany
Along with 3 community members who worked with Baltimore's Stoop Story Telling Series to craft a story to describe issues of their lives with the city.
as well as St. Veronicas Steele Youth Orchestra
